The Community Interpreter® Training
The Community Interpreter is a 40-hour interactive, skills-based program. It is also the most up-to-date program in the field. The sessions ground you in what you need to know to work as an educational (spoken language) interpreter. The focus is to accurately perform the duties of an interpreter in an educational setting. Multilingual staff, community liaisons, interpreters, translators, and school administrators will receive powerful tools and best practices to implement at educational meetings, learn about cultural diversity, share new and innovative technology and enhance your presentation skills. Participants will receive a copy of the most comprehensive textbook in the field. Classes are limited to 25 participants only.
Branding the Interpreter Role in Your School District
This 3-hour training is intended to assist you in maximizing your current role as an interpreter or translator in your school or district. Learn about actionable steps that will assist you in implementing, improving or expanding your current translation and interpreting services. You'll leave this session inspired to create systems and procedures designed not only to brand your role as an interpreter or translator but also develop sustainable processes in your school or district.
